The event of the end of the 2015 season was undoubtedly the Asia Pacific Bike Ride, which took place from September 25 to 28, bringing together participants from around the world (16 different countries) competing in a charity cycling race.

The event takes place every year in a different country, and this year Mongolia was selected from among other candidates.

The Horseback Adventure agency was proud to have contributed to organizing an event of this magnitude. It proved to be a real success, despite rather challenging weather conditions at the end of the tourism season.

In total, 110 participants set out into the Mongolian steppe in the Gorkhi-Terelj National Park region, a few tens of kilometers from the capital Ulan Bator.

Over nearly 100km and spanning 2 days, our bikers had to face wind, snow and some significant temperature drops (-10°C in the mornings, no less) to achieve a remarkable victory that benefited the Mongolian association Tsolmon-Ireedui Foundation, which provides comfort and education to disadvantaged children in Ulan Bator.

A truly meaningful human adventure, both for the participants who had to climb numerous passes, and for our teams who gave their all to ensure the safety of our guests in Mongolia.
